    It depends on the policies of the app store that you used to download Safes. But it usually takes between 3-5 days to process.

  • Are there separate billing charges on the Safes Kids and the Safes App?

    No. You can install and use the Safes app both on your and your child’s devices using a single subscription.

    You can install the Safes app both on your and your child’s devices using a single subscription. The monthly subscription fee is $4.99 a month. But you can save 33 percent a month by purchasing an annual plan for $39.99.

  • Will I be alerted if my child tries to alter settings or delete the Kids app (Safes Kids) on their device?

    We are constantly scanning for ways children can bypass parental controls and making them obsolete. In doing so, we eliminate all instances where parents need to receive alerts on such matters.

  • What languages does Safes support?

    Safes currently supports three languages, including English, German, and Arabic. More languages will be added soon.

  • Is my child’s data secure?

    We understand your concerns about the safety of your child’s data when using our parental control app. That is why Safes’ data collection policies are thoroughly and regularly examined by Apple and Google and have been approved by these authorities. We do not store or sell any client data, and the data collected from your child’s devices are used only to inform you better of your child’s digital habits.

    Safes School monitors most of the trending and frequently used apps among students, such as Instagram, Whatsapp, TikTok, YouTube, etc.

  • What if a student has more than one Instagram account?

    It is one of our features to let you monitor your students' activities on all their Instagram accounts.

  • What is Geofence?

    Geofence is like a ‘safe perimeter’ you set for your student.
    For example, when your child is at school, you can set a certain radius around the school perimeter. You will be notified as students enter or leave school.

  • Can I manage my students’ social media activities with Safes School?

    Safes School is the best way to manage your students' social media activities. Whether it’s TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Whatsapp, or Snapchat, you can let Safes do the monitoring for you.

  • How do I block an app/a website?

    To block an app, use the “Always-Blocked Apps” feature.
    As for websites, you need to use the Web Filter tool.

  • Will I be notified if a student sees an inappropriate video or picture?

    Yes. That is what Safes School is all about! You will receive notifications whenever your students do something against your rules. This includes but is not limited to blocked keywords, adult sites and material, suspicious interactions, and offensive comments.

  • Can a student install/uninstall an app without me knowing?

    The student app runs in the background of your students’ devices. So no, it cannot be uninstalled. Moreover, nothing goes without your permission with Safes School.

  • What does real-time location mean?

    Real-time location means live and current location.
    Safes School allows you to know the exact location of your students at any moment. Plus, we keep track of all the places students go throughout the day.

  • What if a student exceeds the screen time usage I have defined?

    You will receive a notification if a student exceeds the screen time limit. And the student won't be able to access their devices.

  • Can I set different screen time limits for each one of my students?

    Sure you can! You may not see fit to set the same screen time limit for all your students. That is why we have enabled you to set different rules for each one of them.

  • Can I get a refund after purchasing the premium plan?

    Yes. You can request a refund from the platform you purchased the plan. However, each platform has its own conditions for accepting a refund. We recommend you try out our services and premium features with the free trial plan if you’re on the fence about making a purchase.

  • Can I monitor and view all my child’s activities?

    Yes, you can. Safes allows parents to monitor their children’s social media activity, app usage, visited websites, and many more!

  • How do I get started with Safes?

  • I can’t remember my PIN. What should I do?

    Tap on “Forgot PIN?”

  • How can I change the email I have signed up with?

    Once you sign up with an e-mail, you can’t change it anymore.

  • I received the notification “Password too weak”. What is a strong password?

    A good and strong password increases your own security and does not allow your child to access Safes for parents. Password must be at least eight characters to be accepted. A combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and special symbols also helps increase the security of your password.

  • How do I pair my device with that of my child?

    You can either enter the pairing code given to you into your child’s device or use the child’s device to scan the QR Code that appears on yours.

  • Can my child uninstall Safes?

    No. Safes will remain on your child’s phone as long as you want it to.

  • My child knows my password (PIN). What should I do?

    To prevent your child from accessing Safes on your device, you should change your PIN as soon as possible. Go to Profile > Security > Change PIN code.

  • What does “Server connection error” mean?

    We use the fastest servers, but sometimes, even the best servers might encounter a problem. Just try again a few moments later. If you keep seeing this message, contact us.

Download Safes Kids for Chrombook

  1. Install the Safes Kids app on your Chromebook from Google Play. 
  2. Pair Safes Kids with parent app. Follow the instructions in the app to pair your child’s device with your parent device.  
  3. Add the Safe Kids Chrome extension. Open Chrome and go to the Chrome Web Store. 
  4. Navigate to the Manage extensions page. Click the three dots in the top right corner of Chrome and select “Extensions”>”Manage Extensions”>”Details”
  5. Turn on “Allow in incognito mode” This will allow the Safe Kids extension to work in incognito mode, which is important if your child uses incognito mode to try to bypass the parental controls.
  6. Select Safes extension and follow on-screen instruction
